In a new promotional video for Ang Lee's "Life of Pi," James Cameron lays the praise on thick for the film, highlighting its groundbreaking use of 3D technology.

"I think there's no greater pleasure than sitting in a theater and being taken on a journey by a master filmmaker like Ang Lee. It was just such a magical vision. You feel wrapped in the story right from the beginning and I think the 3D certainly contributes to that, but it's also just great filmmaking."

He adds, "you go on a journey that's eye-popping, that's terrifying, that's exquisitely beautiful. To me, it doesn't get any better than that."

Cameron, whose company Cameron Pace provided the 3D technology behind the special effects, wrapped it up by saying, "the 3D is an integrated part of the art form and I feel like the technology that we created has contributed to a masterpiece."

"Life of Pi," which has Oscar buzz coming out its eyeballs, stars Shuraj Sharma as the young Pi and "Slum Millionaire" star Irrfan Khan as the grown-up Pi. The teaser below reveals some remarkable looking footage.

The film is expected to play in Egyptian cinemas soon, through United Motion Pictures, the official agent for 20th Century Fox in Egypt.
