It's more bad news for "Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls" fans who were hoping for the very overdue comeback of actress Lindsay Lohan. Despite recent statements that she was more driven and focused on her work, Lohan jeopardized her future and career for what seems like the thousandth time when she sucker punched another woman at a New York City nightclub this past week.
The 26-year-old star is now being charged with third degree assault after a messy nightclub altercation on Wednesday night. That day, Lohan and her sister went to see the band "the wanted" perform in New York. Later on, Lohan accompanied the band's lead singer Max George and a group of friends to a nightclub. In the wee hours of Thursday morning, Lohan was approached by a woman offering her a free psychic reading. After telling the woman to give her some space, the woman started talking to Max George -- which apparently warranted a sucker punch from Lindsay. She also verbally assaulted the woman and her husband, calling them "gypsies."
After fleeing the club, Lohan was followed by police officers. When they approached her car and attempted to arrest her, Lohan allegedly asked if they were "kidding."
Although Lindsay was bailed out after only a few hours, she didn't leave without a court date, which now brings her number of court appointments up to two, after a car accident in June. The star could face jail time for this previous incident, in which she is accused of lying to police therefore violating her probation.
