Joel Edgerton is now in talks for one of the leading roles in "Jane Got a Gun," a modern Western to be directed by Lynne Ramsay, who helmed last year's acclaimed drama "We Need to Talk About Kevin." Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman will produce and star in the film, alongside Michael Fassbender.
"Jane Got a Gun" revolves around Jane, a typical good girl, whose husband becomes a target of the "vicious Bishop Boys," a gang he once ran but has since betrayed. Jane, played by Natalie Portman, turns to an ex-lover, played by Fassbender, to help save her farm and outlaw husband from the revenge-seeking gang.
Edgerton will supposedly join the cast as Jane's gun-slinging husband. This year Edgerton had roles in two highly anticipated films, "Zero Dark Thirty" and "The Great Gatsby."
