George Smiley returns in a second part of "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" sequel

After making 39.6 million dollars worldwideand receiving three Oscar nominations for Best Actor, Best Adapted Screen Play andBest Original Score; producer Eric Fellner stated to collider.com that theystarted working on a sequel for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy".

Fellner assured that director Tomas Alferdson and Screenwriter Peter Straughanare currently working together on the script adapted from the 3rdnovel of the sequel entitled "Smiley's People". The film is adaptedfrom a spy novel of 8 parts written by John Le Carre about a George Smiley andFellner got enthusiastic about the low budget film that received high viewingrates so he planned for a second part immediately.

"Smiley's People" is about callingSmiley for a murder investigation before he retires where he faces an old opponent.
