"True Grit" star Josh Brolin was arrested on New Years Day for public intoxication, according to a report from TMZ.
The 44-year-old actor was out partying with friends in Santa Monica on New Years Day and was arrested by cops just before midnight. Friends of the actor, who is also a father of two and husband of actress Diane Lane, claim he was "having too much fun." He was held at the police station until 7:14 AM the next morning, when he was released after paying the $250 bail.
Brolin's newest film "Gangster Squad," in which he plays John O'Mara, is due to come out later this week on January 11.
