Joseph Gordon-Levitt in "Sin City 2", out of "Guardians of the Galaxy".

Young star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in the final stage ofnegotiations to play the lead role in "Sin City 2," "Johnny" which was previously offered to JohnnyDepp.

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" is the sequel of the2005 "Sin City," which is adapted from the comic book of the same title. Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez will be co-directing. Miller wrote the graphic novels on which the franchise is based, as well as the screenplay for the first film.

The film will include stars from the first movie, like MickeyRourke, Jessica Alba, Jamie King and Rosario Dawson as well as newcomers JimmyChung and Dennis Haysbert and should hit theaters in October.

In other news, Deadline announced that Gordon-Levitt isout from Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy".
