After purchasing the rights to the new novel by author Howard Blum; Warner Bros. are negotiating with Bradley Cooper to star in their upcoming spy film that carries the same name “Dark Invasion."
“Dark Invasion” takes place in 1915 during War World I when America was still a neutral nation. According to Deadline, Cooper is to play the role of NYPD Captain Tom Tunney who forms a team to stop a group of German spies that are tasked to carry out a number of terrorist attacks in America.
Bradley was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical for his role in“Silver Linings Playbook” but lost it to Hugh Jackman, however, he won it at the Critics’ Choice Awards. He's also up for Best Actor at the Oscars, though many critics are predicting Daniel Day-Lewis will take that little golden statue for his performance in "Lincoln."
