Photos: Amr Diab celebrates winners of his virtual talent academy

You Tube announced yesterday that Moroccan Wafaa Sheqi andEgyptian Mohannad Zuhair the winners in the Amr Diab Talent Academy. Bothwinners will join Diab in one of his upcoming concerts.

The Academy, which launched last June with 1000 participants;scored more than 100,000 voters where 30 participants made it t to the finals. Thisacademy was part of Diab's efforts to communicate with his fans and his channelis considered one of the most famous channels in the Middle East and NorthAfrica.

The 30 finalists went to the supervision stage where they weretutored via Google Plus with the Academy jury members who consist of many greatproducers, musicians and composers like Humaid El Shaery. Jury members chosethe best 10 finalists who sent new videos of their performance and then Diabchose the best five. The winners made it to the final spot by You Tube votes.

Diab considered the large response from You Tube voters a verypositive step towards discovering true talents and he is very eager to singingwith Wafaa and Mohannad. He added that he hopes that other participants willcontinue developing their talents.
