Director Amir Ramsis has told that his documentary "An Yahoud Masr" (Jews of Egypt) will be released in theaters across Egypt in the second week of March. He added that the film is being currently adjusted to fit theaters' quality by producer Haitham Al Khomais.
"An Yahoud Masr" focuses on the Egyptian Jews who were forced to leave Egypt due to the Arab-Israeli conflict that started in the first half of the twentieth century up until the 1956 war. The film examines how the identity of Egyptian society changed over time from an accepting society known for its tolerance and acceptance of others to a society that rejected the others in its midst.
Meanwhile, Ramsis is also starting to work on a new, non-documentary feature film.
