"Argo" won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay at last night's 85th Academy Awards. It was one of the film's three wins. Chris Terrio, a first time nominee, got up on stage to accept the honor. Remember that "Argo" director Ben Affleck, despite winning the BAFTA and the Golden Globe for best direction, was not included in the same category at the Oscars.
Quentin Tarantino, meanwhile, enjoyed more accolades for his "Django Unchained." He won Best Screenplay for the slavery revenge fantasy that has people buzzing about American history and racial violence. He thanked his cast for making his characters come to life, saying that when his movies are remembered decades from now, it'll be because of how well the actors realized their characters.
