Janet Jackson Reveals Secret Marriage to Qatari Billionaire

Singer-actress-icon Janet Jackson, younger sister to the late Michael Jackson, revealed today that about a year ago she wed Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana, 37. "The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true," the couple wrote today in a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight. "Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony."

"Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children's charities."

Gossip outlets have been speculating over their grandiose wedding plans (and costs) since Us Weekly first wrote about their engagement last December.

This is the third marriage for the usually private star, now 46. She married singer James DeBarge in 1984, then annulled the marriage a year later. Her ten year marriage to music video director Rene Elizondo ended in divorce in 2000.
