Rebecca Hall Joins Johnny Depp for "Transcendence"

Rebecca Hall has signed on to star in the new sci-fi film "Transcendence" alongside Johnny Depp. Rumor has it the storyline follows Depp's character, who's uploaded his brain to a super computer. Hall, who beat out Rooney Mara and Emily Blunt for the role, will play Depp's wife.

"Transcendence" marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Wally Pfister, who won the Oscar in that category for "Inception" in 2011. Pfister, a longtime collaborator of Christopher Nolan, is also responsible for the thrilling camerawork in the Batman series.

"Transcendence" will hit theaters in April 2014.
