According to sources who spoke to , actress Zeina is largely responsible for ensuring that production on "Raghm el Faraq" will continue, despite the negative (and otherwise destructive) impact Egypt's economic hardships have had on production. Allegedly, the Egyptian actress offered up a big salary cut for her starring role in order to keep the program afloat.

A number of shows this year have either gotten the axe or been postponed, as their budgets cannot be supported given the country's current circumstances.

"Raghm el Faraq" producers Mahmoud Baraka and Adel Elmaghraby had decided to postpone the show until next year, but backtracked as soon as they heard news of Zeina's decision.

The show, from director Hatem Ali and screenwriter Bashir El Deek, tackles the tough issue of women's psychological and social conditions these days. It is based on the novel by Nour Abdel Magid. Zeina's co-stars include Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, Sherine, and Tamim Abdou.
