The great Robert De Niro has signed on to David O. Russell's next project, a 1970s drama about the controversial FBI sting operation, Abscam, launched to weed out political corruption.
De Niro told Empire he'd be playing a "fixer of sorts" in the film that will reunite him with " Silver Linings Playbook" co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, as well as director O. Russell. All four players received Oscar nominations for their work on "Silver Linings," with Lawrence memorably winning Best Actress.
The film, to be shot in Boston, Massachusetts, will also star Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. The whole cast, except for De Niro, is currently in Boston link, Bradley?
According to E! News, production will link by the two explosions that went off yesterday at the annual Boston marathon, killing two and injuring dozens of runners and onlookers alike.
