"Thor" Poster Hits Earth (the internet) Like Lightning from the Sky

Marvel Studios has just out the first poster for " Thor: The Dark World" displaying the Uberman that is Chris Hemsworth as the lightning god Thor wielding his famous hammer.

It's Hemsworth's third film as Thor, after " Thor" (2011) and the insanely successful "The Avengers" (2012) from director Joss Whedon. "Game of Thrones" Alan Taylor is directing "The Dark World," the sequel to the 2011 blockbuster. Also starring are the legendary Anthony Hopkins as Thor's father, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and Tom Hiddleston as Thor's evil brother Loki, whose villainous designs drove the 2012 "Avengers" epic.

The film's official Twitter account announced the trailer would be out this Thursday, April 23.
