Producer Says Rihanna is Working on New Album

Top-brass producer Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins has revealed that Rihanna has started selecting songs for her upcoming album. Jenkins has produced for some of music's greatest pop luminaries, such as Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. 

Rihanna tweeted a photo of herself in the studio with DC rapper Wale, captioning it "work hard play hard! @Walemmg and I cooking up a lil treat!!!"
Rihanna has put out seven hit records in seven years, collected a swathe of music awards, and has of course received loads of tabloid attention for her on-off relationship with the controversial Chris Brown. Not surprisingly then, there's been mention of a year-long hiatus after the release of her eighth studio album. 
Jenkins is also currently working with Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and the U.K.'s Jessie J.
