"Asham" Creators and Filmmakers Celebrate with Private Screening

Last night the producers behind " Asham" celebrated the film with a private screening at Nile City Cinema, with a number of its stars and other actors turning up for the whimsical fete. The commercial release of the film is slated for June 19.

Producer Mohamed Hefzy and writer/producer Maggie Morgan were both at the event. "Asham" was Morgan's first experience in feature films. Lebleba was also there, in addition to Arwa Gouda, Asser Yassin, the young actor Ramzy Lehner, the great novelist Alaa Al Aswany, director Ahmed Abdallah, Samir Seif and plenty more.

There's lots to celebrate, too, as the film was recently selected to take part in the official competition for feature films at the third Malamo Festival of Arab Cinema.
