A disgruntled carpenter is presenting a legal challenge to comedian Adam Sandler and his production company Happy Madison. Said carpenter almost lost his hand in an accident on the set of " That's My Boy," Sandler's forthcoming comedy co-starring Andy Samberg and Leighton Meester.
Richard Houpert, the man filing the lawsuit, claims the accident, in which multiple fingers on his right hand were sawed off, could have been avoided if the tool had been properly fitted with "safety components such as saw stops and safety guards."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Houpert is demanding $1 million in damages, and is also suing the power tools manufacturer, Black & Decker.
