Ben Affleck in Talks for "Gone Girl," to Direct "Live by Night"

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Ben Affleck to star in the upcoming "Gone Girl," which is being co-produced by Reese Witherspoon. The movie, based on the novel by the same name, will be directed by David Fincher. It revolves around a wife who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary. Affleck would be playing the husband, who is implicated in his wife's disappearance. Producers have yet to determine who will play the mysteriously missing protagonist.

Affleck is keeping busy since his big underdog win with " Argo" at the 2012 Oscars. He's also directing and starring in " Live by Night," which is in the early stages of development. It's also an adaptation, from the novel by Dennis Lehane, and was picked up by Warner Bros.
