Last Friday witnessed, again, the outpouring of millions of Egyptians onto the streets in mass demonstrations, this time as a show of support for the military following the ouster of once President Mohamed Morsi.
A number of stars participated in the millioneya following a call by Defense Minister Gen. Abdel Fattah el Sisi for Egyptians to come out in support of the military as a "mandate" to crackdown on violence and terrorism. The past week has witnessed a number of clashes and attacks on security forces by Brotherhood supporters, many of whom have maintained a sit-in at Rabea el-Adaweya Square prior to Morsi's ouster on July 3rd.
Among the stars to participate in Friday's march were Nadia El Gendy, Yousra, Elham Shaheen, Amr Saad, director Sandra Nashaat, Mai Kassab, Nelly Karim, Safaa Abu Saoud, Rojina and her husband actor Ashraf Zaki, Manal Salama, Shahera, Madlen Taber, Sameh el Serity, Fardous Abdel Hamid, Layla Alwi, Sohier El Morshedi and her daughter Hanan Motawie, Maged el Masry, Rashwan Tawfiq, Mervat Amin, Dalal Abdel Aziz and many others.
