"El Garsoneera" Release Postponed, Not Suitable for Eid el Fitr

Director Hany Girgis Fawzy has agreed with producer Mohamed Aref not to release the film " El Garsoneera" starring Ghada Abdel Razek this Eid el Fitr season, despite previous reports on the film's impending release.

Fawzy confirmed in his statement to that the subject matter of the film would not be appropriate to screen during the holidays, as most of the films that come out during this time are family-friendly, light comedies. The issues tackled in the film are new for Egyptian cinema in terms of content and execution, as the director mentioned they were using cutting-edge camera equipment. Fawzy said that they have not yet determined a new release date for the film.

"El Garsoneera" rests on the shoulders of its three leads, Ghada Abdel Razek, Manzr Reyahna and Nidal El Shafei. The film, which is being produced by Al Arabia Cinema, was written by Hazem Metwali.
