Ellen Degeneres Picked to Host Oscars ... Again!

Loveable comedian and daytime television host Ellen Degeneres has been selected to host the 2014 Academy Awards. It'll be her second time hosting, which perhaps signals the Academy's desire to return to bite-free humor after Seth MacFarlane's controversial hosting gig this past year.

A statement from producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said, "there are few stars today who have Ellen's gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere."

The Oscars will take place on March 2. Ellen previously hosted the Oscars in 2007.
