Egyptian actor and Alexandria native Mahmoud Kabeel has said that way the soldiers in Rafah were murdered in cold blood is evidence that Egypt is facing organized, international terrorists carrying out criminal acts. Kabeel said that the Muslim Brotherhood is using "electronic committees to spread false news about the great Egyptian military," in an attempt to drive a wedge between the military and the people. By electronic committees, Kabeel is referring to Brotherhood members who use multiple accounts on social media platforms to flood unfriendly sites or users.
Kabeel also pointed out that the arrest of the Brotherhood's former Supreme Leader Mohamed Badie is the only news item giving the families of the martyred soldiers a sense of relief or patience.
As for the appointment of Mahmoud Ezzat as the beleagured Brotherhood's new Supreme Leader, Kabeel noted that Ezzat's nomination signals a very dangerous scheme, as Ezzat is one of the proponents of the Takfiri strain of Islam (an offshoot of Salafi thought), and is known for his intensity and influence in the organization. Kabeel believes that what will follow this swift appointment will be the Brotherhood's attempt to affirm their power and position to the world, which he considers a complete delusion.
The actor also stressed that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait support the Egyptian people, touching on recent indications from Washington that the Obama administration is reconsidering its economic aid to Egypt. Kabeel praised General Abdel Fattah el Sisi, assuring that the military will always be the protector of the nation, and its role will be honored in history.
