Manal Salama: God Save Us from Mahmoud Ezzat

The artist Manal Salama said in an exclusive statement to that she expects Mahmoud Ezzat to take leadership of the Brotherhood group after Badie,former supreme leader of the group,has been arrested. She added that probably his only job will be to negotiate national reconciliation. She noted that he has been outside of Egypt for a long time and spent a lot of time abroad to strengthen his foreign ties. She also said that he's known for his obscurity and being away from the media and cameras but he's an influential person in the group.

Salama also expressed her deep fear of the blood to be spilled in the coming days, especially because it's the first time that the Brotherhood has declared a new leader, morshed, while the former one is still alive. She followed this by saying : “God protect us from Mahmoud Ezzat.”

Manal pointed that Egyptians received the news of Badie's arrest as a national victory, a strong sign that all of them agree on a single concept which is the rejection of terrorism. She finally stressed that everybody refused reconciliation with “those people” because they wanted to kill Egyptians and "waste their dignity."
