Egyptian writer Yousry El Gendy demanded Egyptian people not to put too much focus on the issue of Mubarak's release. El Gendy said that the people should not forget about the main issue, which is the exclusion of the Muslim Brotherhood from Egyptian political life and to restore security.
El Gendy argued that the issue at hand now is the Muslim Brotherhood's attempt to burn Egypt, using violence to overthrow the state's control.
El Gendy affirmed the revolutionary mindset of the Egyptian people. He said that a message was sent to any coming ruler that provided legitimacy will be withdrawn from him if he came short of the people's ambitions.
