Bassem Samra : I won the best actor award at Malmo without knowing that "After the Battle" was participating

In exclusive statements to , actor Bassem Samra said that he was surprised after knowing that he has won the best actor award at the third Malmo Arab Film Festival for his role in “ After the Battle” ( Baad Al Mawkea), in which he co-starred with Menna Shalaby.

Samra pointed out that he didn't know that the film was even going to participate, but after the return of the Egyptian delegation, he found out about the prize he won from director Amir Ramsis. The festival closed last Sunday, with Egyptian films getting a big share of the prizes.

Earlier during the festival, a number of Egyptian participants were harrased repeatedly by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Sweden, which caused some to withdraw from the festival and return earlier than expected to Cairo.
