Thai police have arrested two people who were using protected animals as a photo opportunity for tourists. The arrest came after Rihanna posted a link on Twitter to an Instagram picture that showed her holding up a furry primate called the slow loris.
The district authorities were alerted to the picture. They arrested two young men and confiscated two lorises from them. The charge of possession a protected animal can be up to four years in prison and a big fine.
Rihanna was on a break from her Diamonds World Tour and she stopped in Thailand to visit the island of Phuket.
