Hugh Jackman Joins Neill Blomkamp's Latest “Chapie”

Hugh Jackman will join Neill Blomkamp's new sci-fi feature “Chappie.” The actor revealed to press at the Zurich Film Festival, "I am doing a role in Neill’s new film, called 'Chappie,' which we shoot in Johannesburg."

Other confirmed cast members are Sharlto Copely and rappers Ninja and Yolandi Visser. Sharlto Copely will be voicing an advanced robot stolen by two gangsters who plan to use it for their criminal plans.

Jackman is also working on “The Greatest Showman On Earth,” a musical about PT Barnum's life. Neill Blomkamp previously directed “District 9” and “Elysium.”
