Baghdad Film Festival Screens the Egyptian Documentary "Eneiba"

The Egyptian documentary “Eneiba” is being shown today at the 5th Baghdad Film Festival. Set in a poor village in Aswan, Egypt, the documentary follows the village's residents and their desires for clean fresh water. The movie is directed by Mohanad Diab.

Also today at Baghdad Film Festival, the Iraqi documentary “Al Massir Ila Karbala'” is screening. Portraying the Shiite Journey to Karbala', the film is directed by Ahmed El Hagag. Another Iraqi movie is showing today, the feature “Mothalath El Mot” (The Death Triangle), directed by Adnan Asman.

On the festival's parallel schedule today are two symposiums. The first takes a look at documentaries in and about the Middle East and their attempt to monitor and document the rapid changes taking place in the region. The two speakers are Laura Sylvia, an Italian journalist and documentary director, and Angela Boskovich, a Middle East media specialist. The session is being facilitated by the head of the festival, Taher Elwan. The other symposium is titled “Young Iraqi Directors in RT French-German Channel Project,” facilitated by the project manager, Katia Gargoura.
