George Clooney's "The Monuments Men" Release Postponed

George Clooney's “ The Monuments Men”will miss the planned release this year, as the work on the film'svisual effects could not be completed, said the actor and director.

The Second World War drama is anadaptation of Grant Heslov novel about a team of historians whotravel across the world to preserve art pieces the Nazis areintending to destroy.

The feature is directed by Clooney whoalso stars in it alongside Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murrayand John Goodman. Missing the planned release and the postpone to2014 will ruin the movie's possibility for the Oscars. “we wantedto make a commercial, non-cynical piece of entertainment,” saidClooney explaining that he didn't target the Academy Awards in thefirst place.
