From Abu Dhabi: Director Hala Khalil Criticizes Egyptian Ambassador

Hala Khalil ( Ahla El Aw'at) posted onher Facebook account a blame to the Egyptian ambassador in Abu Dhabifor inviting only actors and actresses to a private reception party.Khalil wrote on her Facebook page:

“ Our Egyptian ambassador in AbuDhabi contented himself with inviting actors and actresses, and didnot extend the invitation to include: the producer of the twoEgyptian movies in the official competition, me as a director andfestival's jury member and he also ignored many of the big Egyptiancritics here. As long as film-making is only about stars for thosepeople, it's never going do any good.”
