Winners in the shortfilm competition and emirati film competition were announced today inan awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi International Film Festival, one daybefore the major awards ceremony tonight.
The best Arab short filmaward went to “Though I Know the River is Dry,” aPalestinian-Egyptian co-production directed by Robert Omar Hamilton,after competing with 19 other films, in the international short filmcompetition. The Russian short “Certainty” wonthe best international short film.
