Barack Obama to Screen Nilson Mandela Biopic in White House

American president Barack Obama is tohost a special White House screening for this year's mostdistinguished biopic, “ Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.” Obamaescorted his family on a tour of Mandela's former prison on RobbenIsland.

The two lead actors, Idris Elba and Naomie Harris will attend the White House special screening alongsideMandela's daughters Zindzi and Zenani. The movie tells Mandela'sstory from being an anti-apartheid activist through his 27 yearimprisonment on Robben Island until his inauguration as the firstblack president of South Africa.

“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom”premiered at Toronto Festival, while its public premiere was inJohannesburg, South Africa.
