Watch: Michael Fassbender Awaits Returning to the Future on Prometheus Sequel

Germanactor Michael Fassbender expressed his enthusiasm for the sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus,whichwas released in 2012.

Thefirst Prometheus was about a team of scientists in the future tryingto discover the origin of life on planet earth. Although it averagedwith critics and earned a limited success in theaters, Ridley Scotthas decided to work on sequel continuing the story.

Ina television interview with Total Film, Fassbender said “I havebeen sort of told that it's going to happen, so yeah I'd love to, Ihad a lot of fun with the film and the character”

Hejokingly added: “I'd love to get “David” up and working again,hopefully he gets his head reattached to the body.”

Productiondate has not been decided yet for Prometheus 2. However, itwill most probably be released during 2015.
