Javier Bardem is Blackbeard in Warner Bros.' Untitled Project of "Peter Pan"

Warner Bros. is revisiting Neverland,offering Javier Bardem the role of Blackbeard, the lead villain. Theproduction company was already reported to be in talks with Joe Wright ( Pride and Prejudice) to direct its revived project writtenfor the screen by Jason Fuchs for the characters created by J. M.Barrie.

It's a little bit confusing as this isthe third Peter Pan project announced in the last two years. Disneyis also developing a prequel to the story called “Peter and theStarcatchers” while Sony is developing “Pan” starring ChanningTatum.

We've last seen Bardem in “ The Counselor” and will do again with Sean Penn in “ The Gunman.”
