Director Amr Salama announced through his twitter account that his new film ' La Mo'akhza' (No Offense) will be the opening film in the second Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival, which is set to take place from 19 to 25 of next January.
Salama wrote in a short tweet: "La Mo'akhza's will have its premiere in Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival as the festival's opening film, 19th of January."
The film stars Kinda Alloush, and it follows a Christian child who is moved to a new school, and feels rejected due to his relatively different social status, so he decides to pretend being a Muslim in fear of any form of persecution he maybe subjected to. The film faced issues with censorship before it began production, as the script was rejected by the censorship board and Salama had to adjust it several times.
