Martin Scorsese's “ The Wolf of Wall Street” starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Wall Street's bad boy JordanBelfort had a strong opening as it's approaching to top the NorthAmerican box office and Replace “ The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” as the first rank.
Scorsese's Wolf is among six filmslaunching during Christmas like “ 47 Ronin,” the $175 millionproduction that was delayed from November 2012 starring Keanu Reeves. Also on Christmas menu is Ben Stiller's “ The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” Stallone and De Niro comedy “ Grudge Match,” Justin Bieber's doc “ Believe” and Nelson Mandela's biopic “ Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.”
Stiller's Mitty is doing better thanexpected. Directed by and starring Stiller it's a suitable familymovie during Christmas. Bieber's “Believe” might turn out to be adissapointmentwith only $1.2 million during Christmas weekend whichwill probably put it out of top 10 this week.
