12 Years a Slave Crowned Best Drama at the Golden Globes

Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave was awarded Best Motion Picture, Drama in the Golden Globes' awards ceremony yesterday.

The film follows the life of a free African man who was forcefully brought to slavery in Washington in 1840, and stays suffering for 12 years untill he is finally freed again.

The film hasn't won any other Golden Globe title other than the aforementioned.

With the announcement of this award, the 71st Golden Globes ceremony concluded.
