Bassem Youssef Officially Moves to MBC Masr

After the banned episode of Bassem Youssef's TV show “ Albernameg” (The Program) was leaked on the Internet, causing a lot of reports to appear concluding that the dispute between Q Soft, producers of the show, and the satellite channel CBC was resolved, it seems that Bassem Youssef is finally making a move to MBC Masr, according to Elmasry Elyoum news website.

The site revealed that Bassem has signed to appear in a comedy show on MBC Masr next month, after negotiations took more than two months between the program's crew and the channel's executives, with several debates over some articles in the contract along the way, that were eventually concluded before the deal was done.

Bassem has been subjected to a wave of harsh criticism after the airing of the first episode of the second season of his show last November, because of what some called an attack on General Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. As a result of the controversy, CBC have decided not to air the second episode, without informing Youssef.
