Following the unprecedented number of retweets the group selfie taken by Bradley Cooper using Ellen Degeneres' Samsung phone made, Samsung have decided to donate one dollar for every retweet to charity, making the donation reach a sum of $3 million.
The company, which has apparently benefited greatly in marketing from the random selfie, has decided to give the Oscars host the money as a token of gratitude.
Last Sunday at the Oscars ceremony, Ellen asked a number of stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie and Meryl Streep, to pose for a group selfie to be taken via her Samsung smart phone, and was immediately posted by her on twitter, to gather a whopping 3 million retweets in a matter of hours.
