Pictures: Kate Winslet Celebrates her Star in Hollywood Walk of Fame

The 4.4 Richter earthquake that hit California yesterday hasn't prevented star Kate Winslet from celebrating her newly received star in Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Winslet appeared overwhelmed with the honoring, and stated that she felt very proud of herself, getting a place beside many iconic actors and artists, and adding that Hollywood is a destination and a starting point for many aspiring actors from around the world.

Actress Katy Bates, who co-starred with Winslet in Titanic, attended the ceremony. Kate cited the movie as a turning point in her life, and the location in which she celebrated her 21st birthday. She is now 38. The ceremony was also attended by young actress Shailene Woodley.

Winslet has been nominated for six Oscars, and won one for her role in The Reader.
