George Clooney's Mom is Thrilled about Her Son's Engagement

George Clooney’s mother expressed overwhelming joy at the news of her son’s engagement to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, officially confirming that Clooney is off the dating market.

In a conversation with MailOnline, Nina Clooney said she was not at all surprised by the engagement as it was clear from the first time she met Amal about a year ago that the couple is very compatible. She explained the two are on the same page intellectually and share many similar interests, which she believes in the most important aspect of their relationship. It is also clear that the two have a lot of fun together.

Several publications have been speculating on the actor’s engagement to the British-Lebanese lawyer, however, Clooney’s publicist said he could neither confirm nor deny the news.
