In a recent interview with Vulture Magazine, Australian movie star Hugh Jackman recalled that his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, originally urged him not to take the role of “Wolverine” in the wildly successfulX-Men series.
Jackman said that immediately after reading the first three pages the script, his wife found the Wolverine character “ridiculous.” She was particularly perplexed by the thought of her husband playing a mutant with claws coming out of his hands and superhuman powers. Furness was sure the film would fail, a forecast that was obviously proving wrong as the role has become the most important in Jackman’s career.
Jackman stars in the latest film of the X-Men series, “X-Men: Days of the Future” which made the list of highest earning American films this week.
