Abu Dhabi TV Deletes a Kissing Scene from “El Sayyeda El Ula” (The First Lady)

Abu Dhabi TV deleted a scene from the 10th episode of the series “ Al Sayyeda Al Oula” (The First Lady), which aired yesterday, starring Ghada Abdel Razek. The scene showed a kiss between Abdel Rezak’s character “Mariam” and her father “Rageb,” played by actor Sayed Ragab.

The serial’s producers expressed anger over the fact that the scene was deleted. According statements received by from the producers, what was shown in the scene was a parental kiss between a father and daughter which had nothing shameful about it. Moreover, Channel CBC which is exclusively playing the show in Egypt, did not cut the scene and aired it along with the other events of the series’ 10th episode yesterday.

In other news of the series, the cast and production team are heading on the Ismailia Road to one of the Urabi Association villas to film the final scenes inside character Hashem’s villa, who is played by star Mamdouh Abdelalim. The cast and team will stay there for two days before coming back to Studio Masr to film the final scene.
