Rania Youssef: I was Sexually Harassed in Tahrir Square

Actress Rania Youssef, the star of the Ramadan TV serial ”El Sabaa Wasaya"( The Seven Commandments) disclosed the fact that she had been sexually harassed in Tahrir Square on June 30, 2012 when she was celebrating the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi with her daughter and husband.

During an interview with TV host Samar Yousry on her program “Layla Bedha… Hamra… Sawda” ( White Red Black Night)which is broadcasted by Nahar Channel, Yussef said she was very excited to go to Tahrir Square and celebrate the ousting of Morsi with her family and other Egyptians, yet she was taken aback by the harassment that she and her daughter experienced to the point that she regretted going to the square and putting her daughter in such a situation.

On another topic, Youssef described the day that the police searched her car for drugs as a “black night,” confirming that they were the most difficult days and situations she had ever experienced in her life.

Youssef also admitted to having had a nose job following her appearance in the TV series “ El Haj El Mitwali” but denied having undergone any other plastic surgery operations. She confirmed that she does not oppose certain cosmetic procedures.
