Video: Amir Ramses: “Sequel to Jews of Egypt depicts the fate of Jewish ladies currently living in Egypt”

Director Amir Ramseshas released the sequel to his documentary “ An Yahud Misr” (Jews of Egypt), entitled “ Jews of Egypt – End of a Journey”, last Wednesday. It was screened at Zawya theater in downtown Cairo. The first film was met with success, due to the controversial theme and critical acclaim after the premiere.

's crew met with Ramses, who talked about the film, the reason behind making a sequel, and how Egyptian audiences sympathized with the characters in the film.

Ramses added that the new film depicts life in Egypt nowadays, which differs from the period depicted in the former (1900 to 1956).
