ِAfter his Departure: Alexandria Film Festival Honors Said Marzouk

Film critic Amir Abaza, president of the 30th Alexandria film Festival, has decided that the festival will be honoring the late Egyptian director Said Marzouk.

Fellow director Aly Abdel Khaleq will be receiving the honor on behalf of Marzouk and his family at the festival's closing ceremony.

Marzouk passed away yesterday night, aged 74, after a long battle with disease. He has been receiving treatment at the “Dar Al Mona” hospital, and then was moved to Al Maadi Military Hospital, where he died.
