"Factory Girl" to Open Fourth Malmo Arab Film Festival

The Egyptian film " Fatat Al Masnaa" (Factory Girl) was chosen to be the opening film for the fourth edition of Malmo Arab Film Festival, which will take place from the 26th to the 30th of the current month in Sweden.

The film stars Yasmin Rais, Hany Adel, Salwa Khattab, and Salwa Mohamed Aly, and was written by Wesam Suleiman. It won the FIPRESCI prize for Arab feature films at the tenth edition of Dubai International Film Festival, where Rais was also crowned as best actress in the same competition.

The film follows Hayam, a 21-year-old poor factory worker, who goes through a coming of age love experience without knowing its moral consequences.
