Director Mahmoud Kamel has finished editing his new film “ Khareg Elkhedma” (Out of Serivice), which stars Ahmed El Fishawy and Sherine Reda, and will be released theatrically by the end of the current month.
Khareg Elkhedma follows the story of a peculiar relationship that ensues between two opposites: Said, who leads a miserable life that resembles that of the homeless, and Hoda, who lives a lonely life and does nothing but watch her surroundings and reflect.
The film was produced by T Productions, along with Crystal Dog, Ahmed El Fishawy's own company. It was written by Omar Samy, and will be distributed by Dollar Film.
Mahmoud Kamel teamed up with British-Venezuelan cinematographer Arturo Smith for the film's production. Smith is renowned for his prolific career, ranging from short films to feature length documentaries, and is also critically acclaimed, with a list of accolades from international festivals like Venice, Munich, Torronto and others.
