Safinaz Filed To Misdemeanour Court For Insulting Egyptian Flag

Ahmed Khattab, president of Al Agouza's prosecution, has decided to file Armenian belly dancer Safinaz's case to the misdemeanor court, regarding an allegation accusing her of insulting the Egyptian flag.

Al Agouza's prosecution had earlier received a proclamation from a businesswoman and hotel owner, accusing Safinaz of the aforementioned crime, which she allegedly commited during her performance in a party in the Red Sea resort city Ein El Sokhna.

In response to the allegation, Safinaz has appeared in a press conference last Monday, denying any intention of insulting the flag, and justifying her action as a gesture of love and appreciation to the country.
